Stogi Siana/Haystacks

Hello all,

today I want to show you my inspired by Beasts of War haystacks for your gaming tables.

So you will need: toothpicks, modelling clay, plastic bottle caps and, super and pva glues, sawdust, sand colour and brown paints.

First of all we start with cleaning the bottle caps' bottom parts and gluing them together like shown on the picture.

dzisiaj, zainspirowany wpisem na Beasts of War chciałbym Wam pokazać jak zrobić stogi siana dla urozmaicenia waszych stołów.

Potrzebne będą: wykałaczki, masa modelarska, plastikowe zakrętki od butelek, super glue i klej typu wikol, trociny, farbki kolor brązowy i jakiś piaskowy.

Zaczynamy od wyczyszczenia spodów zakrętek z odstających kawałków plastiku i sklejenia ich ze sobą w sposób widoczny na zdjęciu.

Secondly, you spray them with a sand like colour and after the paint dries you take some modelling clay and form something like a Santa's hat on top of it. Remember to make the sides of the top embrace the cap a little bit. Take the toothpicks and cut of the sharp ends at one side. Push them into the clay as shown in the second picture. When the clay dries spray it with the sand colour. I used light sand from Tamiya.

Następnie malujemy je posiadanym kolorem piaskowym i jak już wyschnie bierzemy masę modelarską i formujemy z niej coś na podobieństwo czapki Świętego Mikołaja, albo czubka wieży, w której więziona jest królewna. Jak już to wyrobimy zakładamy na nakrętki tak, żeby masa nachodziła trochę na boki. Bierzemy wykałaczki, odcinamy zaostrzone końce z jednej strony i wciskamy w masę tak jak widać to na zdjęciu poniżej. Jak zaschnie malujemy na piasek. Ja używałem sprayu Tamiya Light Sand.

Paint the toothpicks some kind of brown. I used Rhinox Hide. You are ready to start applying the sawdust onto your haystacks.

Malujemy wykałaczki na brązowo. Ja używałem Rhinox Hide. No i mamy bazę do nakładania trocin.
 

Apply PVA glue onto the forms and sprinkle the saw dust a few times around. Next squeeze it and shake off the excess. There you go, you made yourself a haystack. I am going to use mine primarily for SAGA but they are good for all non modern historical and fantasy games.  

Nakładamy wikol na nasze formy i obsypujemy trocinami kilka razy. Po chwili dociskamy, uzupełniam ubytki i troszkę nimi trzęsiemy, żeby pozbyć się nadmiaru. No i brawo, właśnie zrobiliście stóg siana. Ja mam zamiar użyć swoich głównie do SAGI, ale pasują do wszystkich niewspółczesnych gier historycznych i fantasy.

PS.
There is a problem with G+ comments. They tend to dissapear overtime. They are there if you are not logged into Google. I have reported the issue. They know about it and are taking care since yesterday because not only I have suffered from this bug.
Mam mały problem z komentarzami G+ na blogu. Wydaje się, że z czasem znikają, ale jeśli wchodzi się na bloga będąc niezalogowanym do Google to je widać. Zgłosiłem to gdzie trza i zajmują się tym od wczoraj oficjalnie, bo nie tylko mnie to dotknęło, ale coż komentujcie!
